When 2 became 4!!!

I am pleased to finally introduce you to Fred....

and Barney

Harry's new chums are here and proving to be most entertaining!

Harry was like a child with a pressie when we got home on Monday night, he didn't know whether to play with the toy or the box it came in (which happened to be his holiday house ) - it was very funny to watch and he kept running up to me to see if it was really true and there were other ratties for him to play with!
After a while though he exhausted himself so had to stop for a snooze and gave the babies a chance to investigate him!!!

Look how tiny there are compared to fat old Harry!!

We are all settling in slowly as we've had a few scuffles, but so far so good!

The babies are far too wriggly to photograph and I am not blessed with three hands to both hold them and capture a picture, so please excuse my poor attempts at home movies.....

I am pleased to say that they are both very kissy and seem to love Mummy and Cheerios as much as Harry does!!

Quick Update!

As dismal as this place is - I didn't expect this extravaganza when I ordered toffee cheesecake for pud!!

It's a gastro-scrapping delight and tastes even better then it looks!

If for no other reason , come to St Helens for this!!!!

yummy!!!

Ratty road trip

That's what I am on today!!
The adventure mobile is stuffed full of cages that will be filled with wriggly furry squeakers by about 1130am tomorrow morning!!
(2 for me and 2 for Fliss who bred them)

I am staying here, in a comfy but very old fashioned room in a hotel in St Helens! It's not the most exciting place but near the ratties foster home and obviously too far to travel up and back in one day!

Am currently sat in the restaurant with a nice cold peroni waiting a rump of lamb cooked in mint jus. This will be followed by Merlin and Casualty by which time I will be asleep!

In the morning I plan on a leisurely swim and sauna before travelling the last leg of the journey to ratville - I think it's a bit like mouseville but without the circus??

Can't wait to meet them!
Harry won't know what's hit him tomorrow night!!

Divine intervention!!?

Signposts are very meaningful and can be the beginnings of pathways to wonderful adventures, great friendships and all sorts of philosophical wonderment !!!

I really believe that some things were just meant to happen, and the paths we take are already decided long before we arrive at the crossroads.
Sometimes you make decisions to 'go' or 'do', and have no idea why, but afterwards, when you think about it there seemed to be a reason that you did and it makes you glad!

My recent adventure has been all of the above!
I found peace for my soul for a few hours,  breathed in fresh air, enjoyed open spaces and had time to reflect.
I have met a wonderful person and had the most fascinating conversations and hope to have found a life long friend who has provoked thought and inspiration in me in the most surprising of ways!
I met this little guy too and learned of his adventures........

I have rediscovered some of my lost confidence and have literally gotten back in the saddle..........

It's amazing what a few days away can do for you! It was very last minute but I really feel that I was meant to go and do all that I did and meet the people I did!?
And best of all?????
The welcome home kiss that Harry gave me!

Sorry Harry it means I have left you on your own, but enjoy it because on Sunday your world will be turned upside down when your new chums move in!!!!

How about this for open space and fresh air?

I neeeeeed to scrap!

I don't know where the time has gone recently, actually, no, that's a lie, I know exactly where it has gone and it has all been at work!!
Even for me I have worked some ridiculous hours just recently and any scrapping opportunities have been NIL!!!
I am really feeling the need to create something and having just spent over an hour catching up on everyone's blogs feel really inspired - just still don't have the time yet! Oh well, just gotta get thru the weekend and then I will have loads of time as I have a couple of weeks off - yay!!

Not long til the Gogogetaway either - now that is a weekend I am really looking forward to, can't wait for all that creative excitement and catching up with chums old and new. We even have a lady coming who I just can't wait to meet as I think she is totally fab - Kirsty W! Woohoo! Christmas come early!

Still no news on the baby rat front and I have to say I am getting quite concerned. Am still waiting for an update from the breeder, and Harry is getting by, but what with the hours I have been working I am very conscious of how much time he is alone poor thing! I was hoping to get them on Monday but will have to wait and see..............!
Right off for a small furry snuggle and to share my choocy bar!

In the morning

There are a few good things about working a night duty!

Cycling home to bed on a weekday when everyone else is getting up and rushing to work!

Cycling home on the weekend, when the streets are empty and they belong to me!

Cycling past a fabulous sun rise that I wouldn't normally stop to notice!

Cycling past the three playful young foxes playing in the road.

September anticipation with a hint of woodsmoke in the air, the promise of the autumn to follow!

The quiet!

Wonderful!!

Night night x
