Happy Halloween!
Halloween came early to the zone this year. Unable to go tick or treating with the little monkey tonight meant we had to improvise. Yesterday the boys managed to hollow out a pumpkin, and it was promptly delivered to me to be carved. No spanish galleon this year either, time was against us so we settled for a cheeky bat instead. Once carved we dressed the little one in his spooky costume and headed out to the back garden for some fun with sparklers. Must be witchcraft in the air co's my previously lacking mojo returned and I managed to produce both of these layouts during the night! The boys are off to a party this evening, but I am sure I will see my fair share of ghouls and cretins during my night shift. I can't wait??!

Learner driver!
Meanwhile, as I fumble round a cold keyboard in my nocturnal 12 x 12 and rub-on free desert, my monkeys are off playing and having fun even if it was rather chilly!
Brighton today! Funfair on the pier no less? Sadly I have only been supplied with 4 photos of the event, as my biggest monkey has not got a camera glued to his paw quite as much as I would have liked, but these will be scrapped - work allowing, in the next few nights. Just you wait and see. Just co's I wasn't there doesn't mean I can't share in the fun somehow?
Winter Wonderland
Snow! In October?
Ok, I know it's not unheard of, but lets face it - snow and London don't really mix do they?
I couldn't believe it when I went to work last night and all the cars and even some of the roads were covered in snow. It was only raining when I left my house to get the bus, and that's only 6 miles away???
The last proper snow I saw was on a visit to Prague last year, and boy was that cold! I may upload my whole Prague album at some point. It's the first one I ever completed and am really pleased with it.
Meanwhile night duty is not going well.........no call-outs so far, but lots of requests for non glittery statements and really dull stuff. Not the kind of paperwork I was looking forward to this week!!!

New stash!
Stash!
It's lovely when a pizza box arrives and it's full to the brim of scrapping goodies. Normally by the time it arrives I have forgotten what I've ordered, so it's nearly as exciting as opening a Christmas stocking to fine out what's inside.
A box arrived last week, and to be honest I haven't really looked inside it yet apart from the cursory item check when it arrived. I'm hoping that when I rummage further during the wee hours of the night tonight, I will be filled with some creative inspiration - something which seems to be lacking from my life at the moment. It must be because of the crazy hours I have worked recently in my very serious and non creative job, that all my fun and glitter has gone into hibernation? Fingers crossed.
Half term already?
I can't believe that it's half term already!
Not that it will mean anything to me - it's my week of night shifts again, so while my boys will be trying to entertain themselves I will be fast asleep!
This layout was from our last day out, before new school term and the onslaught of cold weather and rain. The sun was shining and winter seemed a long way away.
I am sure there will be some ice cream involved somewhere this week, but it won't be as enjoyable as this one was!!?

Friends!
Friends are wonderful!
They come in all shapes and sizes and hopefully always make you smile.
Having just spent a wonderful weekend with some very good friends, I have not managed to scrap for a few days, so I thought I would share another one of my friends with with you. Although I haven't cuddled him for a few days, Oscar, as I call him, has trotted past my window on a few occasions, busy exploring the backgarden.

The boy done good!
What a superhero!
No, really, he is!
I spent hours trying to work out how to move my slideshow from the postings section to the sidebar, after much head scratching though the boy worked it out, although he did admit it was due to his 'soon to be famous' banana fingers!
Hurrah! Now I just need to crack on with posting some more layouts. Watch this space.

The 1st Verwood Crop
I visited my mum the other week. She had an old school chum staying with her, and the two of them had been to Corfe Castle for the day.I had intended to join them but got delayed because of work.
Between them they took loads of photos, so afterwards we set ourselves the challenge of all scrapping the same photo to see how differently the layouts would look.
Susanne actually chose a different photo to scrap in the end, but mum and I both chose this photo. We also both enlarged and cut out the photo, but our results were quite different.
This photo sums up my childhood memories of visiting the castle, so that fact that I didn't get to go this time didn't matter in the end. The dark brooding castle keep fills my mind with all sorts of medieval fantasies, so these chipboard flourishes were just the thing to use as embellishments.
Circle of life!
Life is a funny old thing! These are some cards I have made recently, they celebrate the birth of a nephew, the birthday of a loved one and the death of an uncle. I don't make many cards these days, scrapping has taken over, but I still enjoy the odd foray into cardmaking. I'm probably much later than a lot of you but it will be time to start the Christmas cards soon - I always leave it til the last minute so this year I have cheated a bit and bought a kit from a well known shopping channel. Need to get Bonfire night and Halloween out of the way first I think!?

No-zone!
Well, it seems I am on night shift again. This is my lovely sofa where you will find me waiting for the phone to ring.
I had great plans to add some more pages of my lay-outs tonight, but having not had a day off this week I've not had a chance to photograph any.
Will add details of the 1st Verwood scrap-a-thon on my next post!

All change
Have been very very busy at work over the weekend - 21 hours overtime on top of my usual hours and am exhausted!
It also meant that I didn't get to play on my new blog, so have spent a couple of minutes playing with it today, trying to get it to look how I want it to. Still not sure I like it ? Being such a novice though I don't understand what all the terms mean or how to link items I want to include.
If anyone is looking at this, bear with me while I get to grips with this new medium - give me paper, scissors and glue anytime!

In the Zone!
I've finally done it!
Having spent hours reading everyone else's blogs I have decided to write one of my own!
It's birth has been prompted by the fact that I am about to be published and I am very very very excited!!!! I can't show you yet, but hopefully I am about to have a layout of mine published in a reader's gallery of a well known scrapping magazine.
To say I am thrilled is possibly the understatement of the year!
The main aim of my blog is to share some of my work with you all. I love scrapping, my life does seem to revolve around it at times, and I have been known to wake in the middle of the night to scribble an idea onto my notebook - ready to be scrapped when I next have time.
I hope you enjoy my little efforts.
