A real scrapping blog, living, loving life and scrapping it along the way with ratty adventures thrown in too. Come into the Zone with me and see what the Twins and I are up to today!

Here come the girls.......

This is the LO I made from Laura's hen night. It shows Jules and I slurping our soup at the banquet.

BM did eventually come and rescue me from the monster spider, even he was quite shocked at the size of it! I wasn't brave enough to photograph it to show you though so you will have to take my word for it!

Today I have been busy spring cleaning - thought I needed to, make sure there weren't any more monsters lurking. The flat looks very clean and tidy now although The Zone has been heaped up on top of the table and now needs a good sort out before I can go back in there to play?

I also went for a two hour float which was much needed and I feel like a new person now. The only thing that would have rounded off my day would have been if the new Scrapbook Inspirations had arrived, but no, my postman is rubbish and has decided not to bother with us for most of this week!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow?

Scary!

Happy Birthday Kate!
Actually it was yesterday, but ran out of time and space with the wedding pics.

Am sat at home now with a HUGE spider trapped under a glass on the floor. BM is on nights and this thing is sooooo HUGE you could make a sandwich out of it!!! But little me - I am too afeared to do anything about it!
BM suggested the Dyson as an option but the last time I did that it had disappeared out of the drum the next time I got the Dyson out of the cupboard!
I don't do spiders!
I really don't do Houdini spiders!!!!

So now I have to sit here with this monster waving at me until BM comes home to rescue me.
Think I'm off to bed soon, it's giving me the evil eye!!!!

Laura's Wedding

What a fabulous day!!!!

The bride looked stunning as we thought she would.

The groom was charming and chuffed to bits with his bride.

The weather was as perfect as you could have hoped for.

Apart from running a little late,  and arriving seconds before the bride, BM and I had a fabulous day too. The colleagues from work were on good form and we all thoroughly enjoyed the celebration.

BM was my prince charming in his whistle and flute and everyone commented on our carefully co-ordinated attire. BM complained about his 'pink' tie, but I think you will agree he looked wonderful.

The only downside to the whole day was my photography skills - I forgot everything I knew and was so busy juggling having a great time, drinking vodka and trying to catch some candid shots of everyone that there aren't that many that I am particularly chuffed with. There are some classics that I will put in the mini book for Laura that I am going to make, but there are some technically challenged shots throughout. Oh well, no-one knows but me I guess, but I think I need some more practice with people and portraits.
Hope you had a great BH? xx

Bank Holiday treats.

No BBQ for us today, although it was tempting with all the lovely weather we have had.
No fish n chips either as depicted in this LO, this was a few weeks ago on the last bank holiday weekend when BM and I had a day out and ate these on the sea front at Hythe - and yes they were yummy!

Off to Laura's wedding tomorrow, we are all ready to go and I even treated myself to a spray tan this morning which was a very bizarre experience - forgot to take the before and after pics though, just as well as the before were very very pale and pasty looking!!!

I have spent the day making  lovely cards, one for the happy couple and one for a friends birthday next Tuesday. I have photographed them but can't be bothered to upload them all tonight, so will have to share on Monday with some wedding pics hopefully. Off to bed in a bit, just letting the nail polish dry properly so it doesn't smudge.
Enjoy your day tomorrow. xxx

Hellooooo!

Sorry, have been really bad at this blogging business, mainly co's nothing has happened and I still haven't scrapped - still relying on previous efforts to share with you!

Work is dull but going through some crazy changes, not all good ones, and apart from losing my voice completely and feeling pretty ill all week I haven't been up to much!

BM and I are off to a wedding on Sunday, the lovely Laura's, and I am really looking forward to it. I have a fab new frock to wear, am getting my hair done before we go and am going for a cheeky spray tan tomorrow so I don't look so ill and pasty on the day!!!!

May even have to photograph the pale before and tanned after and scrap it to kick start my mojo!

Catch up with you soon

Speechless!

I have lost my voice today!
(Hurrah! shouts Big Monkey)

He has had a nasty chest infection this week and I thought I had escaped, but last night I went out with a girlfriend and in between the consumption of pizza and many lovely cocktails we put the world to rights and complained about life and our men folk! As the evening progressed I grew to like my increasingly husky sounding voice, kinda sexy sounding I thought? I even tried it out on BM on my return home but he was asleep and didn't seem too impressed?

This morning, I am shocked to report, I felt awful and so slept most of the day away (it wasn't a hangover either). When I got up I couldn't speak at all and have a throat that feels like I don't know what?  I feel rubbish!  Maybe it's punishment for all that manbashing Megan and I did last night?  Who knows?  Sofa and hot blackcurrant here I come!
Still no scrapping, so here's one I made earlier! xx

Catch up!

It feels like ages since I have posted here, have blog hopped a little and seen some fabby work by you girls, thank you for those who have sent me hugs and very kind thoughts!

Life moves on I guess and although I haven't really felt like scrapping just yet, to be honest I haven't had the time anyway.
Work seems to be crazy at the mo, must be something in the water -  although it's not swine flu, and last weekend I went up to Birmingham for Rosie's hen party. I didn't really feel up to going but am glad I did as we had a fab time at the Jongleurs comedy club and I guess it was just what I needed to get back to normal-ish life!? There are some good pics on Facebook which I am going to have to try to make a mini book of somehow, at some point?
Enjoy your weekend xx

Remember the good times

It's one week on from probably the worst day of my life. I can't say things have got any easier, everytime I stop, I get the same image of Ralph's last moments vividly in my head and it makes me so sad. I know he is in a good place and couldn't have continued the way he was but it doesn't make things any easier does it?
I feel so guilty about him and so thankful that he had his Grannywen to look after him in his twilight years, he couldn't have wished for a better life and as you will see from these LO's, he had some great adventures. I know GW is finding things harder than me as she has constant reminders all round the house,  things of his or things where the house was adapted around him. I don't think I could cope with that and that makes me feel guilty too. I will never be able to tell her the right words of thanks for all that she has done.
I know that Ralph is having new adventures without us now and we will have to carry on with the wonderful memories he gave us held tight in our hearts.
But I do miss him oh so much!

Ralph.

My best friend went to sleep for the last time yesterday.
I stroked him and held his paw as he left us to chase Plop in Heaven.
Grannywen was with us too.
I cannot begin to describe how I am feeling now that he has gone.
Cherish every moment with those you love!
